Klarus XT1A




It will replace my trusty Nitecore MH20 as EDC.




I love my MH20. The problem is, the 1-inch head is just a tad too big for dress pants. The Klarus XT1A is lighter and thinner (about 0.75" dia. throughout it's length) but still throws a whopping 1,000 Lumens on high (compared to the MH20's 900 lm on turbo). The XT1A can also take in AA batteries in a pinch (at the expense of lower light output).

i saw some maglites in true value. i did not notice if they had solitaires.

namimiss ko pa din incandescents maganda pang kwarto. Sa led kasi eskandaloso yung lakas. Yung fenix e01 kahit 10lumens lang eh pag pitch black nakakagising ng natutulog.

I have 1,000-lumen P12 in my bedroom. It also has a tactical tail button as on/off. I chose one of the strongest flashlights I have para pang-gulat at pang-silaw ng would-be intruder. The lowest setting it has is 1 lumen so it still has usable light to move around without dazzling people asleep. You can also cover the flashlight lens and only let through a pinhole of light which you can control by adjusting your fingers like the aperture of a camera.

The Solitaire (non-LED version) can still be an acceptable EDC but if I'm going to buy it, I'd only consider it for its nostalgic value. I owned two Solitaires and I lost both of them under mysterious circumstances

incandescents are obsolete. just buy a flashlight w/ a warm white tint if you want that incandescent look.

agree that the common 6000K on most lighting products like fluorescent lamps and even car headlight LEDs, is an UGLY tint

me personally i go for 5000K which is like a creamy white. i changed all my house lights to 5000K

vod, buti napost mo yan about sa "k" Napasearch ako kung ano meaning eh kelvin pala color temperature. Pag bumibili kasi usually sa watts lang basehan. Ngayon alam ko na.
