unless the work environment is a punishing one, i see no reason why i would want to spend four times the money, for a flashlight.

the vaunted german tanks were wonderful technological marvels, designed to last for years... built in relatively small-ish numbers, at a time when the life expectancy of tanks was measured in weeks to months.
the american shermans were, in contrast, cheaper mass-produced models, manufactured in huge numbers.
conflict archaeologists theorize that had the germans chosen to manufacture cheaper, pedestrian-type tanks in far larger numbers, the course of the war may not have been what it was.
