Sa mga schools like UE, FEU, UM, NU, magkano na ba ang tuition diyan for a 4 or 5 yr. course? They are much lower than those exclusive shools like ADMU or LS.

    IMO...

What you would call "magagandang schools" is very subjective.

Most people would think that good education can only come from a few Metro Manilan universities out there. But there are a lot of good schools in our provinces that can fight it out with the big guys.

For example in the recent bar exams, the topnotcher came from the University of Cordilleras and half of Top 10 finishers didn't come from UP / ADMU.

But this is not always true. Meron kaming neighbor dati. The girl comes from Mindanao and is a graduate of a business course, Cum Laude, from a not so well known school (forgot the name of the school) from their place. She went to Manila, and tried her luck to find a good job. Ang taas ng expectations niya because of her good scholastic record. Pero, lagi siyang ini-ignore, kahit nga Cum Laude pa siya. Reason? Hindi kilala yung school na pinanggalingan niya. Tired and dissapointed from her job hunting experiences, she eventually landed a job as a Sales Clerk in Land Mark.

although this is true, share ko lang, based on my experience & analysis. the problem here in the philippines kasi, they (the companies) tends to create a discrepancy or a discrimination between the graduates of UP, DLSU, ADMU &UST, kaya some students tends to view that they are hopeless, na " wala na silang makukuhang trabaho or what have you" kaya maling mali talaga, atsaka for me, wala naman sa school mo yun, nasa katauhan mo parin mag dedepende kung sasangayon ka sa trabaho mo.galing ka nga sa mga nabanggit na exclusive schools and yet, palpak ka naman sa trabaho mo. ( believe me ,this usually happens sa totoong buhay)minsan this is reality kaya nakakainis eh, sa mga classified ads palang, may discrepancy na whether kung galing ka sa Mapua (for engineering) UP, DLSU ADMU and UST. for me, their is something wrong with our educational system lalo na sa pag gaguide sa mga students after they graduated from college kung may mapapasuka ba silang trabaho o wala despite sa mga tuition fee na pinaghihirapan ng mga parents natin nung nagaaral pa tayo.

Again... the word "good job" is very subjective.

Plus, she's a fresh graduate - what can you expect? I started out as a bodegero earning just barely above the minimum wage after being rejected for a few times already.

    it's all about breeding.

A person who is a product of Ateneo or DLSU (or other "prestigious" schools) is more likely to be "well-bred" or "konyotic" ... kahit mababa ang grades.

Companies use schools as a gauge.

depends. nung panahon ko sa USTe, pag departmental player ka, 50% off tuition mo+miscellaneous+lab fees lang.

pag university varsity player ka, free na tuition. babayaran mo lang is yung miscellaneous+lab fees.

What she's expecting is at least,to get a job related to what she has taken in school, kahit mababa lang ang suweldo.
