Tnx so much for the info.... personally, i prefer the discs than the magic sing... the band is complete...unlike sa MS... kungbaga sa ringtone.....MS parang polytone....DVD discs....like mp3s...IMHO.

Told my mum in law about megabox and alam na pala niya yun dahil may ganun daw yung amiga niya. So mukhang yun na ang gusto niya dahil na entice siya sa 7,000 songs sa isang dvd and mas yun cheaper than the magic sing chips. Any recommendations kung ano maganda brand ng megabox ngayon and saan makakabili?

You're right, Bro. The discs (DVDs) provide much better quality of music. Yun kasing sa Magic Sing, pansin ko, yung magic organ lang ang ginagamit nila kaya parang "bland" yung tunog. While sa discs (DVDs), kumpleto ang areglo ng accompaniment. Halos ang tunog, is taken from the original song itself.

Quality wise, I'll go for the Mega Box.

called up Ambassador Shangrila, they don't sell Megabox anymore. what they have now is a similar device na EG ang brand. made in korea daw. 14.5K ang price and comes with a disc with 9000 songs. additional discs cost 1.5K each. DTS na rin ito, 6 months warranty.

saan ba meron Megabox? kung 700/disc for the megabox, mukhang mas sulit ito.

boybi, I was told by my contact sa Automatic Centre (Greenbelt 1) na phased out na yung Pioneer Megabox karaoke machine. I would suggest you get the Hyundai Karaoke Player. Priced at P8,900 sa Automatic Centre. Comes with free Hyundai Mic, Song List, and DVD containing 3,900 songs. Its also great for playing DVDs (kahit pirated).

If you want discount, look for Jonathan sa branch above. Tell him nirefer ka ni Joel. He'll give the unit to you at discounted price of P8,600. 2 units na kinuha namin dun. Yung isa sa house namin and yung isa pinadala namin sa Canada.

went to Automatic Center in Glorietta this afternoon. wala silang Hyundai. ang meron sila is LG. 2500 songs lang yata ang laman ng DVD. and additional DVDs can only be bought from LGs service center somewhere in Pasig pa yata.

phased out na nga daw yung Megabox. ang pumalit daw is Konzert. pero 1500 songs lang ang laman ng DVD. and i don't like the build quality of the player.

nagpunta din ako sa Sogo/Blims, also in Glorietta. meron sila dun na videoke player lang with 40gb harddisk that can contain upto 50,000 songs. 18K+ ang price. hindi pwede magplay ng DVD. walang mic input.
