YEP!!! it is good to have that one, i am planning to upgrade mine i have 640Va mini genset good for 3 electric fans and 3 14watts bulb - one full tank last between 4t06 hours. planning to upgrade to a more modern (less ingay) and higher capacity portable genset with at least 2kVa rating para kaya 3/4HP na AC and Ref and 2 electric fans and 2 14w lights.
Canvassed it and i think it cost around 60k.
Northgate Alabang - hassle series of fluctuations and caused our elevators to trapped all passengers.
CBD? Makati? - heard from one of my colleague that the situation is bad there, power fluctuations plus black out on some circuits.
Good thing that the situation is now normal and the power supply is adequate, otherwise i will be staying in the office for a long time.
bibili sana ako ng pandesal dito sa balai tuazon. nasira daw yung mga tinapay sa init. wala akong nabili.
Here in the City of Mandaluyong, there were no power failure. There were fluctuations in the current, the fans that we were using suddenly increased speed by 2 folds without turning the switch higher and the internet went offline for a while.
We have the highest rate for electricity here in the region, and yet we can't see bugs that could disrupt a lot of people.![]()
funny parang nasa kuweba pala ako kahapon, didnt know about this power outrage till i opened this thread, may gig kami sa Fernbrook yesterday, arrived home around 4:30PM, my daughter told me that nag brownout earlier pero it lasted only for a few seconds, no phone no internet, I told her maybe because meralco was installing a new transformer near the not yet open Mcdonalds, went to our room and watched TV then doze off, morning na ng magising ako![]()
Sa bahay namin sa pque hindi nag BO tapos dito sa office namin sa Santa Cruz Manila area mga less than an hour lang nawalan ng kuryente.
Pero yun malapit sa amin na tayuman, gabi na nagkaroon ng kuryente.
OT: If there's anything that will come to a heated political debate in the near future, it'll be power rates because, apart from taxes, it's the single biggest drain on a person's salary or wages.
Johnny Enrile was brilliant to use the issue of PPA (power purchase agreements with take or pay provisions) in his earlier political campaign as it appealed to a broad group of voters (rich, middle class, poor) regarding high electricity costs in households. I wonder why other aspiring senators or congressmen haven't followed suit.
A common political strategy, but very few of the public knows, is that the campaign speeches are designed to say what the people want to hear, a proven winning tactic. That's why nagtataka ang marami kung bakit puro pangakong napapako ang nangyayari. The campaign is designed to win votes, not to promote a loosing political agenda.
Went on panic mode yesterday. Bought a bunch of batteries since my rechargeables weren't juiced up. When i got home me ilaw na(not that i'm complaining).
Medyo malayo po ang connection, but i'm reminded about how the Japanese reacted during the last earthquake/tsunami/nuclear disaster. For the longest time i thought to myself, deym, iba talaga ang Japanese, selfless, tumutulong talaga. Then i read this interview where one person said they were confident that the Japanese government would help them out.
Dun lang ako natauhan; i'm not implying anything bad about the Japanese people, but i guess at some level they can "afford" to be generous because they feel their government can and will back them up. Sadly i can't say the same for us with the same level of confidence.
