'coz earlier sinipag ako dalhin sa casa yun isang sasakyan and based on their record 2 years ago ko pa pala na pa change oil...hehehe I know matagal ko na hinde napa change oil dahil hinde naman nagagamit 1 or 2 a month ko lang nagagamit yan particular vehicle but I didn't realized it has been two years...
edit: i just remembered one story dun sa shop na pinupuntahan ko; meron honda crv na pina-tow sa kanila kasi ayaw na umandar. after opening the engine bay nakita agad yung problem in just a few minutes - it turns out na natuyuan na ng oil yung makina. now how long could that have been since the car last saw any form of maintenance? the crv was owned by a girl, btw.
The oil change is only a marketing strategy of oil companies, for us users to always change oil so they will have their money. When they collect the used oil, they boil it which they call laundry to separate the oil from the dirt and voila they sell it again to us consumers. Oil is non biodegradable, we need their viscosity in order to lessen the friction of the metal to metal inter action, so oil cannot be destroyed, it only accumulates dirt. so we need to change oil only when it is very dirty so the oil companies added an oil filter to cleanse the oil in our engine thereby lessening the dirt that will circulate. We only need to change oil when it is very dirty so it can be 1 year or more not as per kilometer run. We only change oil as per advice of oil companies only to support their business.
akala ko late na masyado yun sa akin, 20K kasi dapat ang change oil, umabot ng 22.2K bago napa change oil kasi walang time. madami pa pala mas grabe hehehe.
