This is the second time already
Engineers, could the design or materials of the Skyway be faulty? Aren't the railings supposed to be strong enough to absorb the impact of a vehicle crash? Or is the design faulty that no matter how strong the material, a vehicle has a tendency to fall off if it crashes against the railing?
RIP to the victims. It's 9 days before Christmas

if you're going over the speed limit you can't really blame the design or material.
sigurado mang yayari lang jan eh cancel ang prangkisa for a couple of months hangang sa lumamig ang issue tapos lagay ng malaki ang don mariano para maka pasada ulit. dapat talaga pakawalan si jason ivler at bigyan ng allowance sa kada gunggong nag puv drive na mapatay niya.

December 16th, 2013 09:57 AM #14dapat talaga stiffer penalties ibigay sa mga lokong bus/puv drivers at companies who employ such. may responsibilities sila sa mga sakay nila...madalas sarili lang nilang kita at yabang ang pinapairal.
RIP to those who lost their lives.

I'd believe there is a defect on the design of the Skyway barriers but as pointed out, it's beside the point if that is the case; the vehicle who went over were simply going too fast.
For sure, suspended ang franchise pending the investigation and at the most, it will be cancelled and the bus line will just be resurrected as another bus line. Nothing will change unless the government takes over and cancels all bus franchises. Make the city bus lines a subsidized, state-run item.
Dapat hindi radar ang naka-abangan para sa mga bus drivers. Sniper. Patayin ang bus driver na reckless magpatakbo at overstaying sa mga bus stop.Last edited by vinj; December 16th, 2013 at 10:09 AM.

According to ABC5, the bus rolled over multiple times for a distance of 100 meters prior to landing on the van.
One can just imagine how fast this bus must've been going.

Condolence na lang sa family. 21 na pala. It is really sad, malapit na pa namn xmas tapos mga simpleng manggagawa lang pa naman mga yan.
Dapat mga ganyang drivers (kung buhay pa) at lifetime imprisonment without possibility of parole at yung bus company dapat isara na kung mapatunayan na negligent din.

Conflicting reports regarding the status of the driver. At DZBB, the driver is among the dead. DZMM reports the driver is critically injured and in hospital....
Don Mariano was suspended twice last year, when one bus almost fell off the Quezon Ave flyover while the driver was texting to his wife. The second was a month later when another bus ran over a motorcyclist and his wife....
