I think what ghosthunter is asking is RPM of the wheel and not the engine, hence tranny ratio is not a factor. And yes, at 5th gear, in most cars at least, engine crank will be turning more than 2000RPM at 100Km/h.

BTW, the result is an approximate value also due to rounding (e.g. Pi can be 3.14 or 3.141592654), aside from other "real world" factors.
