Just look at the "Arrogant Koreans" thread... or the thread regarding "Desperate Housewives", where the character Susan checks a doctor's certificates to see that they don't come from the Philippines (hello? the scriptwriter who inserted that is probably a Filipino... if I went to a doctor I didn't know, I'd look to see that his diploma didn't come from Recto, either! )...

Pinoys go on and on about how racist everyone is... which is bullsh*t. Every country, INCLUDING the Philippines, has some racists. I should know. I'm half-American, though I don't look it. But I've seen the way people treat my Mom... and the way they treat my friends who don't look Filipino.
eksakli. i am not going to point fingers at anyone here...but sometimes the hypocrisy on this board makes me laugh. but then there are more enlightened Pinoy tsikoteers that point that out and try to rise above the ignorance so like i said.....this forum has both the good and the bad on it.

if it will make you feel better, filipinos look down on fellow filipinos. thats the harsh reality here. just read the PHUV thread here and you'll see what i mean (although not all of us filipinos are like that, only quite a few)

people here keep putting down chinese cars...saying that its as cheap as dvd players in terms of quality...that its a copycat like most of the other chinese exports, and that the plastics are like this and like that, and that it has formaline etc and that its unsafe since it came from china...im chinese but i never got offended. in fact i join in the fray since its true anyways...i understand very well the issue of racism...but racism against one's self is one thing that i have never come to understand. or the "self pity" syndrome...like "their pickin' on us coz were poor" and the like. sure there was some racial jokes there, but mind you. people are also giving their compliments to india for what it has achieved so far in the automotive industry...

ask the people here about what they would buy between the 2...a cherry QQ3 or an alto..im sure you know the answer...learn to love yourself man. theres no use looking down on one's self. if you did...then you just played the part that they wanted you to be in...do i make sense? peace be with you.

me naman i'd rather see people who are openly true to who or what they're made of

keeping it real ika nga. racism is not something to get serious with. in my opinion, those who observe racists remarks are the true racists. bec. they can't seem to function in a world full of diversity.

that is funny because that is the exact opposite of what makes sense.

the true racists are those who are offended when someone says something offensive to their race? :hysterical:

we are not talking about the people who try their best to be offended by even innocent statements, but people like shalooney who get mad when people call him (her?) "bumbay baho". so getting mad when someone calls you a derogatory term makes you a racist? you make me laugh :rofl01:
