desalination is more expensive than what we are used to paying for our water now.
but like oil, eventually the question won't be "how much?" but "is it available?".
    my opinion.

^will people be willing to pay more for desalinated water or simply complain more?

Desalination isn't cheap as looking around to see abundance of bodies of sea water. First you have to remove the salt, then the desalinated water needs to be purified if the water grade to be produced is potable.

After purification then distribution comes to play. Salt corrodes metal pipes, otherwise it will destroy the existing pipe system (water concessionaire and household). So its imperative that the desalination process is impeccable, no trace of salt should escape the desalination process

Theres also the storage facility, water reservoir like a natural lake or man made dams or tanks to hold those desalinated water before consumed by consumers

Lets say meron 30 empleyado pataas. Lakas kaya consumo nun sa tubig kaka-ihi+ebak. Problem solve yan yung tapon ni washing machine ipambuhos.
