    DOJ: Gov’t not replacing water concessionaires | Inquirer News

    DAVAO CITY, Philippines — Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III on Tuesday expressed confidence that potential investors would not be turned off with the government’s push to renegotiate the onerous provisions of the concession agreements with the two water distributors in Metro Manila and nearby areas.

    Dominguez sought to calm the markets as Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra assured Manila Water Co. Inc. and Maynilad Water Services Inc. that the government was “not even thinking” of replacing them as water concessionaires.

    same with electricity. back in the day, we were already busy at the workplace at 6 am, because electricity would disappear by 1 pm.

    but we should do something to bring down their costs...

    Technically Parañaque nga ang Baclaran, pero hinde consider na "south" yan. Eh mas malapit pa sa Pasay diyan eh.

    i wonder,
    how much of our water output remains "un-accounted for" ?
    ...yung hindi dumadaan sa kuntador.. yung nasasayang sa tulo.. yung binabayaran pa rin natin kahit ganyan!!

    Kamalas malasan na sira yung overhead tank at nawalan kami ng tubig. Naligo ako ng malamig na tubig sa timba at tabo. Ang hirap maligo ng malamig, dapat nagpainit ako sa takure!

    I asked for an estimate and a replacement tank will cost us P32k excluding the cost of a new stand, pipes and removal of old tank I hope we don't go back to the medieval days of low water pressure. Good thing we kept our booster pump.

    Cant it be repaired? Mine had a crack and i just fixed it with epoxy a few years ago. Still working.

    Even with the crack we still had water from the OH tank

    Unfortunately not. I asked 1 tubero and 2 different welders and they said that it's too thin and rusted to weld. We tried epoxy too, masyado malakas ang tagas

    ^ a bottle or two to wash the windshield might be good enough to see. but to show 2 carts of potable water just to wash a car is insane and a complete waste of precious resources[emoji2955]
