Haven't been there in over a decade.

If I had my way, I'd be staying at home during weekends and holidays, but I have kids... kids that clamour to get out of the house everytime I'm around.

Of course, I have to be the good daddy to them and bring them someplace to stroll and do family stuff. But I've grown tired of going to the usual SM/Ayala malls... basically because of the crowd, parking, and whatnots.

Is all the hype about the Power Plant Mall being less crowded still true?

if youre tired of malls, try something different...like hiking taal volcano or going to a camp site, our recent activity was doing yoga as a family

I think Uptown has less people since a lot of the stores are still closed? There's nothing to do there except eat and movies. Parking there is horrible too (magulo). I wouldn't recommend [emoji14]

Gauge ko of how crowded a mall is e trying to park 12 pm on a weekend. If the TS hasn't been to powerplant in a decade, he will definitely think it's crowded now.

    Mahal din parking sa Uptown.

Kahit weekends hindi fixed ang parking fee.

Park the whole day on weekends, 100 pesos easily.

Yep, a bit crowded on weekends. But if you ask me, the Rockwell "set" is more genteel as compared to the flocks that go to SM, Robinsons, or Ayala malls.

Still there's a quartet or a piano playing on the food-strip level on weekends.

It may be a bit old, but the place is still well maintained, toilets are clean, and the general surroundings, mabango palagi.

    Rockwell, then Shangrila Plaza.

It gets crowded on weekends na rin. I stopped going to Powerplant except for dry cleaning and taho. The seniors in our family (and their friends) still go to Powerplant on weekdays so not much crowd.

But I think you have to visit pag Christmas. Their decorations in 2016 was so impressive!

Anyway, I like BGC (Central Square and the whole stretch of high street) better than Powerplant.

Favorite mall especially during Christmas. Plenty of parking and excellent array of restaurants. The crowd isnt hectic like Megamall. Shang has less crowding.

Like most malls, there are more people during the weekends. The crowd is mostly seniors. Right now a section of the mall is closed. They are integrating the mall to a new building under construction.

ako pag nasa ortigas sa Ayala Malls the 30th nako tumatambay why? coz it's free parking first 3 hours, sobrang luwag and sobra sosy the place without the PUV crowd, lahat di kotse kaya sobra linis pa. and the crowd, all I can say is upscale. before, I alway hangout sa Snangrila Mall eh pero dito na ako ngaun sa Ayala malls the 30th coz of free parking.

ayala is marketing the place and is willing to let go of parking income. computerized din sya, pero paglabas mo kocompute ng computer if you are under 3 hours then FREE!

last time, nagpunta ako dyan sa Rockwell, nag desert and coffee lang ako sa Dean and DeLuca. Id like to go back sana to dean and deluca and sit there outside on a weekday office hour.

What I like about Powerplant Mall is that I noticed that the car drivers there are more courteous. When 2 lanes are exiting the toll booth, alternate zipper lane talaga, pag sa SM, unahan.

Just to add, there's a new high end Ayala mall in the north - Vertis North. It's right before Trinoma. Soft opening pa so only a few shops & restaurants are open though.

yup, wala pang laman. wala din tao. yung entrance road na papasok sa mall and hotel maswerte na kung may 2 cars na pumasok every 5 minutes. kulang na lang may promo girls sa labas para pumasok mga kotse hehehe. but, maganda ito pag bukas na lahat ng stores. kasi yung "pa-aircon" crowd andun na sa sm north and trinoma, malayo na ito for them to go across pa.

We were there about three weeks ago but there were only a handful of stores open... maybe 5-10%. For food, only one resto was open and brave enough to feed the whole mall... Shakey's. :D

    Kamusta na kaya ngayon?

dapat naman kase mag-renovate na yan Power Plant mall eh, alam ko na social media yan sinehan na yan eh kasi nga dami pa sosy sa tin gusto sa Rockwell nag si cinema. little did they know andami foreigner na nanood din ng sine dyan, and when I say foreigner yun mga foreginers na hangout sa red district ng Makati ave. mga arabo, indian, yes those type na mabalahibo.

so what happenend in the social media complaint, yun dalwang anak ng isang conio, grabe ang rashes na nakuha sa cinema seats ng rockwell. parang na-surot pero ga-pigsa sa laki. eh kaya nga ako I never really going to cinemas na frequent ng expats. eh minsan di naliligo mga yan eh. I researched about what is surot, and surot pala is dust mite. so where does dust mite come from, sa mga sine-shed natin skin, yes parang ahas pala tayo, nag-shed ng skin from time to time. so malamang anlalaki ng mga dust mite na surot na galing dyan sa mga katawan nyan, tapos uupo ka dun eeew

na - experience ko na kasi yan eh sa Airport Hotel ng JFK sa Holiday Inn. so I arrived early sa hotel for an early morning flight to LA the next day. yun housekeeping minadali yun room namin, pagpasok ko sabi ko she$t amoy Indian. so malamang yun mga indian na yun mga nakasalubong namin nagmamadali palabas ng reception. I complained sa hotel, ang ginawa lang ng housekeeping eh nag-spray ng pabango. that night was the eewest experience ever as in, nangati talaga ako sa bed sheets nila, they replaced naman the bed sheets sa sobrang spicy ng katawan nila, malamang yun dust mites na dala dala nila eh nasa kutson na ng bed. hay naku sabi ko sa inyo, para ako napulgas ng aso ang katawan. ni hindi ako nakatulog ng mahimbing that night
