Unfortunately, they don't know what they are doing rendering it useless.

    If I were a bomber:

    1. I'd put the C4 in the spare tire, park it in the mall and leave it to detonate.
    2. I'll put it in a laptop and detonate via cp.
    3. I'll put in a flower vase (with soil on top) or inside a similar kind of inconspicuous cylinder.
    4. and so on.

If I were a mall owner or chief of security:

    1. I'd put x-ray on all exit and entry points of my mall.
    2. Hire at least three people whose job is to watch the surveillance videos all day.
    3. Donate to the military's anti-terrorism campaign.
    4. and so on.

Sa NAIA (Departure), minsang paalis ako, returning to ME, di na binuksan yung trunk ng tsikot namin. 2 pa yung umaaligid. Isang sisilip sa mga passengers at yung ilalim ng vehicle. Yung trunk, nalimutan..............

sop and panakot lng yun check hehehe=)

unless there is a dog sniffing the car then that would be more believable, actually the check would also ease the tension for the mall goers.

Siguro this process is just more of a psychological rather than a practical exercise.

Haha I have been asking these exact same questions for ages.

In my opinion, no amount of security can stop a smart and determined terrorist.

Yeah, it's all for show. 3 guards will "inspect" your ride. All they'll have time to look at is perhaps how messy/cluttered/clean your trunk is, and how dirty the underside of your car is. Saya! Sa RCBC Plaza, dahil mahaba yung entrance nung parking, 3 pairs of guards will be waiting, para 3 at a time yung "inspection" nung guard. Ayun, sila sila hindi makapag-coordinate. May cars na dalawang beses matitignan, meron namang makakalusot.

As to the building entrances, the security check at 6750 is quite thorough. There's an xray machine for cargo and a metal detector. At least that's some semblance of a real "inspection". Nga lang, it won't be feasible for places with more people traffic.
