My family was fortunate enough not to be severely affected by Ondoy but somehow, looking at all the videos and hearing the stories of friends and relatives gave me a reason to reflect how our life can easily change.

One thing that changed for me is that I don't care so much about my car's paint anymore, i used to be worried about getting a ding or a scratch somewhere but right now, as long as my car is in good running condition then it's fine. It doesn't mean that i'm not going to go to the car wash and keep my car clean, but right now it seems like a very minor part of my life.

Luckily, we were also spared from the flood and the typhoon.

I realize that flood, like war is a great equalizer.

Also, it just reinforced my beliefs:

That in our country,- you cannot depend on your government to help you. We're left to fend for ourselves.

Also, there are just too many people in Metro Manila. The government should clear the waterways and send the "homeless" people back to their provinces while providing job opportunities in there.

Control on land development. There's just too many villages and subdivisions. Urban planning is terribly needed.

We should elect the right people to make the right decisions, change the curve and lead our nation...

^wala rin kwenta yun mga SUVs during the wrath of typhoon ondoy..

I realized that I should get a AOG coverage for our cars....

and I agree with TS, I'm not too sensitive na rin on my cars... a little scratch here and there is nothing compared to those whose cars was submerge by the flood.
