    wait wait

    di mo yata nagets

    insulin sensitivity is good

that means your body is responding to insulin

    insulin resistance is bad

    your body is ignoring insulin

kung gusto mo pumayat stop eating so much sweets

    yung chocolate addiction mo

kahit magbawas ka sa rice walang kwenta

coz the sweets are triggering the insulin release

    resulting in fat storage

I don't need to bawas rice because I barely eat rice. I can go several days without it.

rice and sweets end up in the bloodstream the same -- as glucose

when you eat rice the body breaks it down into glucose (at least may breaking down process pa)

eh when you eat sweets and drink sugary drinks wala na breakdown breakdown

the sugar ends up in the blood faster than eating rice

tapos insulin release to deal with the large amount of sugar

so fat storage to the max

and if you keep exposing your body to large amounts of sugar (and of course paulit ulit na insulin spike)

years and decades of that guess what happens to your body

    it gets tired

so your body wont respond much to insulin na

so your blood sugar stays high all the time

    get it?

bata ka pa kaya ok ka pa

keep doing that and in 10 or 15 years...

Why spit out the healthy part? Uls is right. You need to wean yourself off of sugar. May link pa naman ang high sugar sa dementia and Alzheimer's. Lalo na sa mga Caucasian gaya mo hehe.

I don't like nuts in chocolates kasi I am and look very Filipino already so I won't have those Caucasian issues. Though I think I do age faster Something to do with the lack of melanin ba yun?

I think so. Di ba ang joke is Asian women don't age much until they get to menopausal stage. Tapos boom! Big weight gain and wrinkly skin.

Caucasians look so mature early on. But I think it also has to do with how they like to soak up the sun so much.

It's so insulting nga ilang beses na ko napagkamalan asawa ng tatay ko and I was only in HS then! I'm not the petite type kasi.

i dont recommend doing the no carb route to other people....everybody is different, if you cant limit your carbs, just try to stay away from anything that has a high glycemic index. im at the end of my bulk,i only eat carbs only at evenings(after workout)..logic is, to keep blood insulin low the whole day so the body has a chance to use its fat stores and eat carbs when you need it the most, after the workout..

Normal is 140 below daw kaya borderline ako at 144

But those numbers were in 2014. I have normal FBS and HbA1c in 2016.

i think baliktad kuya, the more sensitive you are the better, meaning you need less insulin to remove sugar in your bloodstream....ang insulin resistant is ayaw makinig nung sugar na nasa blood, what happen is the pancreas dumps and dumps more insulin until the sugar is removed..if the cycle continues, you overuse and damage it the pancreas thats what is called diabetic condition..

when you're sensitive to insulin than means your body is responsive to insulin

when you intake sugar/carbs your body is able to drive the sugar into your cells (which lowers blood sugar)

    that's anabolic

    you get bigger

NOW, when you are resistant to insulin, your body doesn't respond much to insulin

pag intake mo ng sugar/carbs your pancreas still makes insulin, but the sugar doesn't go into your cells as quickly or as efficiently as before (so blood sugar is stubbornly high even hours after meal)

it shows up in postprandial (2 hour blood sugar test after meal)

it shows up in FBS (8 to 10 hours after meal)

    that's insulin resistance

so what happens when your body is insulin resistant?

    it's less anabolic

kaya may mga diabetic na di pa alam diabetic sila, mapapansin nila pumapayat sila

kasi hindi pumapasok sa cells nila ang glucose (nandyan lang bloodstream ang glucose)

so the body burns fat for energy

    catabolic state
