After a week of doing yard work because the bulk pick-up is tomorrow? I also had to cut down a tree that was too close to the fence and clean up the mess. I'm tired with very sore arms (hand saw and pruning tools only). Sore but happy. I still have the prickly pear cactus plants to trim at the front yard. But, I'll save that for the second quarter bulk pick-up.

My upper limbs are still sore from all that sawing I did last weekend (sawing a tree apart). Even driving gives no joy.

A chainsaw? Yeah, I know. I thought about it. But, if I got done too early with the tree, the wife would have had me rearranging the rock slabs in the front yard too. That's even more back-breaking work. It's much easier to deal with a little soreness.

You pay on a per day basis until the job gets done. "Pakyaw" you agree on a set amount, not dependent on the number of days to complete eg 5k, as long as job is completed whether it takes 1 day or 1 week.

It's kinda like a salary then. A military salary pays the same every two weeks regardless of hours worked. A regular salary pays by the hour which can also vary depending on factors such as overtime.

I'm not sure where I fall under with regard to yard work. It feels more like volunteer work. I do what I can. ;)
