Had a stay-in driver for 8 yrs, kicked him out cause we learned he kept using our vehicle to pick up his mistress, while we were out of the country. Our household help comes once every 2 weeks to clean the whole house. We pay her 850 pesos. She usually comes around 9am then finishes by 4 to 5.

I don't think it's possible for a couple with kid(s) who are employed FULL TIME in an office 8 to 5 job to be without a helper. Who will watch over the children when they come home from school? This is given na it's only the nuclear family at home and no in laws or relatives around to help.

Example na lang friend ko. They live in the South. His and his wife's family live up north so it's really just them. They are both employed in a bank. Kaya no choice but to get a yaya and helper.

Hirap maghanap ng helper. Karamihan pa gusto stay out lang. Gone are the days when helpers stay in one family their whole life Our previous labandera, stayed with us until she passed away.

Milleneals na kasi mga typical kasambahay ngayon. Always connected. Madali maimpluwensyahan through social media kaya nagkaka idea na umalis agad.

    Hello millenials with social conscience

nasusundan niyo ba ang govt mandated wage for kasambahay + SSS philhealth?

kung hinde, huwag muna kayo mag protesta over social injustices

ayusin niyo muna ung social injustice sa bahay niyo

3 years na kami no maid...pero may cleaning lady that drops by the house 2-3x a week..self service laundry is just a 5min walk..2hrs tapos lahat ng clothes namin..

Ngayon...ayaw na ng mga tao mag katulong/yaya..either waitress gusto nila or sales lady...in a way ok din walang maid...madali lang naman mag hugas ng pingan at mag tapon ng thrash

ganyan na ganyan bahay ng parents ko. dami santo at box sa gilid gilid at plastic bag naka line up kaya ang hirip linisin thoroughly kaya they cant live without a househelp. i was teaching them how to live minimalistic and dispose the things that they dont need but it is really a challenge until i gave up. bawat linis ko sa isang place after some time may basura nanaman papalit sa empty space na naclear.

on our flat we really ensure na lahat ng gamit kelangan namen, pag hinde na gagamitin either dispose or benta na. para mas mabilis linisin.

but after 2 days anjan nanaman mga dust, i was researching of scientific way to minimize dust buildup. kahit naka sarado lang lagi windows at door may dust pa din.

A big chunk of the alikabok that we know of consists of our dead skin. Nag she shed din kasi tayo. So kahit sarado bintana, magkakaroon pa rin ng dust

that ubiquitous alikabok that seems to appear out of nowhere, are actually space dust, from meteors burning in our atmosphere as it falls from the sky. every day.
the only way to prevent it from settling on our floor, is to hermetically seal the house.

May generation gap ata sir yung comment mo. Anong gen ka ba or ilang taon na magulang mo? Or ilang taon ka na?

Kasi my parents grew up without househelp. Those were the days na ikaw ang mag iigib ng tubig, hati hati mga magkakapatid sa gawaing bahay. Dilig ng halaman, plantsa, pakain sa mga alagang hayop, tiklop ng pinaghigaan et al. Those were the days when children were even expected to help in the farm.

Now if we talk about parents ngayon and families in general in these times, maraming factors. Kadalasan both parents are working. A big part also is alloted to travel time due to traffic in the metro kaya pag uwi ng parents pagod na. Di na kaya gumawa ng trabaho sa bahay. Maraming factors. If we talk about the families of today compared to those decades ago.
