Like myself, you may have been lucky. Had no baits nor treatment in ours for more than 2 decades. No infestations nor attacks til the last 2 years....when public works started widening the road behind & neighbors cleared. Coincidence or not, I can't really tell. Ours might be their only food source left in the vicinity.
