Those who shortchange won't last. Scouting is key. The trusty ones aren't a dying breed....they're around.

I think he meant affordable when.he said minimalist. Structurally the same like your cars but use cheaper roofing and floor materials, plumbing and electrical fixtures, etc

Pwede din naman ornate vs simple. ornate decors na integrated with house construction would contribute a significant amount to the cost naman hehe

This Breathtaking Villa in Ayala Alabang is INSANE! ? Presello BYO 01? The Glas Heim ? - YouTube

Beautiful house, like the way they put couple of parking space at street level and more parking space at the basement. Just dont like basement layout, mahirap magneuver.

For me, basement parking can be ***y with proper lighting, but its not a good look if one needs to back up the ramp just to exit the basement or in case of the cars in YT video, they need to back down to the basement from the road.

It should have space to maneuver, so one can drive down the basement, maneuver, and drive up.

The elements of old Filipino architecture once designed for natural ventilation & siestas is a good option against floods & typhoons.
However the "silongs" has a stigma. To most Filipinos, stilt houses belong to the past.

Maganda sana pero di pwede sa senior or disabled yan, unless may entrance na hindi kailangan stairs. Hirap nyan pag nag grocery ka, may maleta or appliance

I became conscious of stairs kasi when my family got older iwas na sa stairs or malayong lakaran

    ... against floods?
    definitely!
but maybe stilt the garage also...

    against typhoons with strong wind?
    i'm not sure...
maybe if it were more aerodynamic and/or sturdy?
