We Made Floating Concrete! Is It Better Than Hollow Blocks?
Slater Young
quick background...
pinuntahan ko mom ko last Sat then I noticed na yung house ng neighbor nya (incl yung katabing house) was demolished to be replaced by a commercial building) - hinuhukay na yung basement kaya super traffic...
then I realized... for constructions that big, ano kaya ginawa ng construction company sa septic tank/pozo negro nung house?
do they just load those things in a giant truck for disposal somewhere? wala lang, na-curios lang bigla![]()
malamang sipsip muna. then demolish the tank, kasama na din sa excavation.
Unless, they will reused it for the new building
I saw the hole they were digging... septic tank is gone!
ito nga naiisip ko... even if they call Malabanan... removing whats inside tapos demolishing the thing will still result to a very foul smell...or they can simply demolish and build over it.
and yes, the malabanan-type service providers do a simple job of slurping the mess.
so possible na sip-sip, then demolish, then on the same day, load all crushed parts sa truck for transport? still a smelly day for the neighbors.
We have a bodega in our backyard that our all around/boy (who went AWOL) stripped and dismantled (no ceiling, removed the doors and windows, whole roof needs to be replaced etc) It's 25 sq m and we convinced our driver to move in there with his family. I don't know how 4 of them could fit in 25 sq m but I am glad he agreed
Anyway, we asked our driver if he knows someone who can replace the whole roof, install ceiling, electrical for bulbs, faucets, doors, windows and make kinis (because it's hollowblocks) We were quoted P100k for labor and P200k for materials for a 25 sq m structure???. I am shocked. Is that how it is talaga?!!?? It wll be basic lang, no tiles nga on the floor and bathroom, just cement. Our driver will retain their house pa rin (told him to have it rented for extra income but he said baka hindi ingatan ng renter so his other kids can stay there if they want)
Bare building will cost about 20T-25T per sqm these days ... 300T sounds about right ... it's the roof that is making it cost more ... don't go for cheap builders ... they could cause more problems in the long run ...
