i know what you mean.
it was a joy to DIY in the 'states. everything was within reach.
but here in the phils, one might have to steer away from branded and go generic or replacement.
the hardware folks may be of help.

during covid quarantine,
i realized i needed some odd-sized furniture.
instead of DIY, i called up my then-displaced carpenter, to do DIM (do-it-for-me).
both of us ended up happy.
