    my hard disk just failed. nag-short ata. nadamay pati power supply ko.

    pag kinakabit ko sa power supply, ayaw mag-on yung buong computer. pinalitan ko na yung power supply ko.

    1 year old pa lang yung hard disk. but my problem is yung mga files ko (especially mga pictures ng mga outing ng friends and family ko) nandun lahat. baka may alam kayong kaya magrecover ng data sa hard disk.

    all info would be greatly appreciated.

    check mo to. hanapin mo na lang sa p2p. hehe

    stellar phoenix, may pang FAT saka NTFS yan. yan ginamit ko dati. ok naman.

    goodluck bro.

    PC1= yung may problemang PC
    PC2= yung spare na PC sa inyo

    sir, ang gawin mo alisin mo yung hd ng PC1 then ilagay mo ito sa PC2. Bali ang mangyayari dalawa ang hd ang nakalagay sa PC2. ibig sabihin master yung totoong hd ng PC2 at yung nilagay mong hd ng PC1 ay slave sya. So pagnalagay mo na ON mo yung PC2. dapat madedetect nya parehas yung hd mo. kung nadetect nya dapat makikita mo na dun yung mga files mo sa hd.
    pasensya kung di masyado maintindihan

    yup...tama c sir yan_168:

    Be sure to make it a "slave" muna then read ng OS yung laman ng HD mo. Just check na lang the jumpers dun mismo sa HD. Kung okey, kopya mo na agad sa "mister" disk mo.

    happened to me once too often... kung hindi kaya ng slave talaga, as in hindi na ma-detect, scour the buy n sell sections for HD recovery. some shops do that.. as in physically bubuksan ang HD mo...

    hope this helps!

    Depends on the kind of failure of the HDD.

    IF the controller board on the HDD failed, repairing/recovering the HDD is as simple as finding the same kind of HDD to borrow the controller board from and swap it in.

    Yup, their advice is all correct. . . if given the chance to recover your files, back it up. . . . save your important files on CD-R to prevent worries.

    try booting from another disk and assign your "damaged" disk as a slave. you "might be" able to access the information in your "damaged" disk this way.
