or a lot of local buildings technically does not have a 13th floor (naalala ko sa Singapore pinag-aagawan yung 13th floor kasi swerte)

I also have a Pinoy friend who pushed so hard to open their business last week (wag lang tamaan ng "ghost month")

in my case, when we purchased our car, I specifically told our agent na I'm not releasing a car during the "Ghost Month" and naintindihan nya naman since matumal daw talaga bentahan nila during that month.
my wife's best friend - also buying a car this year doesn't believe in it kaya she'll get the car whenever her license allows her to do it (matagal na kasing expired license nya)

Religon & superstition hinders you from what you want to do.

This one. I was in Jakarta once during Ramadan, I did not fast even though my Indonesian colleagues were. I tried to "go along" by foregoing lunch but while they appreciated the gesture, they said you are Christian, you don't need to participate. They did bring me along at night to the board room where they had lots of food

Haha like the character in the first The Mummy movie. He was wearing different necklaces of different religions. First time he saw the mummy, he tried which one would work. Filipino catholics like to mish mash with superstitions/pamahiins. They pick what they want & what suits them. "Wala naman masama e."
