    sorry for semi-hijacking the discussion...

Anyone here own Kipor diesel gensets? Mukhang marami na ring dealers dito. They've also made some inroads in the US and Australia. Japan-made gensets are just way outside my price range.

It's for home use. Can you PM your daughter's contact number? Does she have 10-20 KVA units? Thank you.

There is a Genset now that is FUELLESS, 25KW by DAZO. Check it out, may kamahalan lang pero it frees you from
    electric bills and brown-outs.

Ano ba ok. Need ko max 3kva. Isang 2hp Aircon=1.5 kva + electric fan x3= 0.120 kva. Lights .160kva.

    Total mga 1.6 kva.
    As ok ba deisel?
    What brands should I consider?

Pano pag tumagal ng 1 year ang diesel sa tank any problem?

Also Mas maganda ba ang di hila? Since we may use it 2-5x a year pag nag brown out.

    Thanks

You'll need to consider the starting power needed for the 2 HP aircon. Normally it's 3 times the running power. You need at least 5 KVA to run those, 7 KVA would be best.

main selling points of diesel for me is:

    - more efficient than gasoline
    - longer shelf life. Oftentimes you'll forget to stock on "new" fuel; some say you can keep diesel for 7-10 years, yung gasolina 1-2 years lang.
    - diesel is stable at room temperature; gasoline turns into gas
    - diesel is a lot less volatile/flammable than gasoline. Look it up on youtube.

Although if you do have gasoline-fed cars, that could act as your fuel reserve. Just siphon off what you need when disaster strikes.

Personally i'd go for the ones with electric starters(kahit matanda pwede istart), but the de hila startup is a nice backup in case your battery drains out in storage.

This is correct, you need to consider the starting current which is times 3. Yun kasi ang malaki ang load sa generAtor.

Disposable yata yung sinasabi nya. isang gamitan lang LOL.

Sobrang labo na merong generator that can power a 2HP aircon that only costs P4,000.

Pano ba ginagawa ang automatic ON and OFF ng genset (ATS)? Dapat ba may feature na ganito ang genset? Nag inform yung local electric co. dito last night na 10PM-2AM ang brownout, buti nalang before 12AM bumalik na power. Para sana hindi na gumising pa ng 2AM para i-OFF ang genset.

I don't have one personally but our family home has a Denyo diesel silent type (reconditioned). The silence is pretty much worth it compared to the old noise-maker gasoline Yamaha it replaced. We don't bother our neighbors as when there's a power-outage, it is much more quiet in the neighborhood and a noisy generator can be quite bothersome to them (nakaka-guilty gamitin minsan pag sobrang maingay). Next, it also does't bother you at home (stressful din sa atmosphere ng bahay pag may maingay na generator).

You also have to choose a location that is away from your neighbors as much as possible because there still will be noise (depending on the size of the genset) an we also had to work on the foundation of where we placed it (high ground, away from trees, close to the garage). In our case we also shut it down after 10pm as much as possible (after cooling up the rooms and refrigerator) although in the summer, it will run until the wee hours of the morning.

Sa Sulit ko Nakuha yun Ads nila, I bought this generator after months after habagat lost the receipt already since rarely naman nagamit to, pero It was in Sta. Cruz Manila where I had our driver pick it up

Meron ata ganito binebenta sa handyman pero syempre double the price, this genset is portable, sinlaki Lang ng small Nike gym bag

Marami sa raon, doon na lang kayo bumili. Kahit mga made in China Kung ma stock Lang naman ng matagal para hinde sayang pera,

Huwag na kayo mag branded. I bought honda elevo few years back P30k+ 3kva lang. Oh baka gusto niyo bilhin?

Unless meron newborn or terminally ill Sa bahay niyo.
