May 18th, 2016 09:24 AM #1Hi everyone, i'm planning to plant some creepers to cover up the exposed walls/spaces at home. At least in my mind, the cover should help things cooler, since the areas aren't getting baked in the sun. Plus, i like the "green" look of it.
Any recommendations for creepers/climbers? Preferrably the ones that don't destroy walls with their roots. A local plant shop suggested Ficus pumila, but i hear its roots can get into crevices and slowly destroy concrete walls.
Some sources suggest that our native sampaguita(Jasminum sambac) can grow as a vine; pwede nga ba?

It is repairable. But as oj88 mentioned, it is messy (when repaired) and best used as a last resort.
