March 23rd, 2005 04:37 PM #121Meron naman metrotren, LRT and MRT lines. Then there are also buses that ply edsa. And as some of you state in other threads, these are half empty, so take them! take 50 people who usually drive to work in 50 cars, fit them in 1 bus(well, realistically these people of course go to different places), there goes some of the traffic, and a lot of gas is saved too. Plus if the buses filled up faster they wait less time at the bus stop.

March 23rd, 2005 04:42 PM #125Car pooling rin, lets say you and some of your neighbors work in the same area, such as makati, sabay sabay na lang kayo pumasok, save gas, less mileage on your own car, less parking fees, may kwentuhan pa habang papasok ng office at pauwi.

March 23rd, 2005 08:09 PM #126yan nga ang indi ko main-tindihan sa patakaran sa atin ng mga fuel producers. Palagi nila sinasabi na ang presyo ng krudo as nasa 55 USD /barrel na, getting their price index sa NYMEX. Bakit, diyan ba sila bumibili? AFAIK, sa Dubai sila bumibili, ion which the crude prices is about 5 - 10 USD lower than the NYMEX. Di ba maliwanag na hi-way robbery ito in broad daylight?

Oil firms celebrate Easter by jacking up prices anew
SOURCE: ABS-CBN NEWS
Several oil companies commemorated Holy Week by jacking up their prices by P0.50 per liter last Maundy Thursday, it was learned Saturday.
Oil giant Pilipinas Shell increased the price of Shell Velocity to P31.30, while their diesel was jacked up to P26.25.
Total Philippines and Caltex Philippines followed suit on Good Friday.
It was the fourth oil price adjustment this March.
Caltex Philippines and Pilipinas Shell, however, assured that they still provide one peso discount to public utility jeepneys and buses, which use diesel.
Oil company officials earlier said they plan to increase prices every week to recover their losses from soaring world crude prices.
The Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Marketers Association, on the other hand, announced there will be a two-peso increase per kilo of LPG next week.
