When it comes to buying things in general, what type of a consumer are you?

Are you the type of person who loves to buy expensive but worth it things?

    OR

Are you the type of person who buys cheaper stuff knowing that it is easily replaceable and more practical?

generally, i go for brand and quality specially on major items..

Same here... it depends on how durable the cheap stuff is.

Watches, for example... a cheap watch is a waste of materials and resources... sayang yung metal, plastic and glass that goes into its construction and that'll probably end up in a landfill...

Better to buy a good watch that'll last a lifetime... same with TVs (though we have a cheap one that's lasted almost 8 years already)...

Cars? Depends. There are cars that are so expensive that no amount of "quality" can justify their purchase... kumbaga... they're just jewelry in the garage. But generally, you buy a good one that you won't get tired of and that'll last you a long time.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

This is similar to the "quality vs quantity" debate. I'd choose quality over mostly anything else, unless those quality items had a sale

I choose items that are more expensive (but not obscenely so) but reliable and durable when it comes to electronic devices, safety equipment (tires, weapons, lights, etc.), and footwear.

For most of our clothing needs, I shop at Divisoria or during sales to get good value for my money, but I still inspect the item for quality and robust construction.

My rationale is, when practical, spend a little more for a well-made product that has good features and that can endure even heavy use.

i'll always go for quality whether it is cheap or expensive. may mga produkto na magandang quality pero mura lang. i guess my point is i don't look at price but at quality.

besides, di ba nga ang sabi nila: women will pay P5 for a P10 thing they don't need, while men will pay P10 for a P5 thing they really need.

same here, generally, i go for quality na usually more expensive. although as smooth says meron mga maganda na hindi naman kamahalan.

meron ako binili na murang sapatos, been through two winters and a summer and hanggang ngayon dito sa pinas gamit ko pa. worth it na for only $cdn15.00.

meron din ako stereo system that is worth a fortune pero sulit dahil matibay at maganda tunog, and a 20 year warranty to boot.

i guess ang point ko: price isn't always a reflection of quality.

I'd go for quality -- TV, Cars, stereo, shoes, etc. Otherwise, I go for lower cost items na sulit -- DVD players, computers (but only because I can troubleshoot them myself), entertainment stuff. My P 2000 china DVD player actually outlasted my Pioneer! Cheap but good is very rare though.

Depende. Kung car part, I think of the lifespan of the car. Kung tingin ko hindi naman magtatagal sakin, I'll just go with the cheap and replaceable. Baka kasi pag bumili ako nung mamahalin eh, buo pa yung part, sira na yung otto. hehe.

depende naman sa gamit yan.like sa mga appliances, di naman pwede yong kagaya ng kay bro chua_riwap na pansony he he he.dapat yong orig baga.pero sa pants, yong mura lang kuha ko.say yong iba gusto yong worth 3k per pants (isa lan yon ha).pwede ka namang makabili ng 3 or 4 pants diba.sa patagalan yong isa na mahal gasgas na while yong bumili ng 4 buo pa sila he he he

i don't mind paying more for better quality. stuff like shoes, electronics, appliances and other things for the house. of course, i think about safety and reliability too and generally the brands that are so are more expensive.

there are some things that i do buy that i think are of good value. i got a nextbase dvd player, a timex watch (ayoko maging target ng holdup/pagnanakaw), and some cheap shirts and shorts.

kung para sa anak ko, iniisip ko muna kung sisirain din lang niya yung bibilhin ko para sa kanya. but usually i go for good quality to ensure my son is safe.

depende sa gamit, kung electronic appliances original all the way...damit di naman kasi talaga ako bumibili dito, I only buy clothes 1 or 2 a year whenever punta kami ng abroad and the quantity is good for at least 6 months....for shoes yun original talaga kahit mahal yun mga class A or kahit triple A pa, bulok pa rin....

I once bought a imitation diesel shoes sa greenhills para pang byahe ko papunta sa US, hinde pa ako nakakarating ng LA sumakit na paa ko..

I guess rule of thumb is kung matagal gagamtin go for the branded, expensive items. kung 1 or 2 lang magagamit eh doon na lang sa mura..
