Yep.. E-Vat has its reason if we don't want it we'll just have to continue borrowing to plug our budget deficit.

Ang tanong lang talaga eh, baka sa bulsa ng mga politiko naman mapupunta yan.

moet people don't know why the VAT was expended to an e-VAT. aside from the regular corruption that happens in most goverenment offices, the last election was very expensive because abalos spent P1.4B for computerization and was later scapped becaus eit was not an idiot-proof machine and the balos still enjoy his comelec chairmanshiop until this time. my brotther who use to work in the government knows it better....most of them are aware that most of the government financial institutions like SSS, GSIS, PAGCOR, etc. spent billions of pesos to get somebody elected and seat in malacanang. taht's also the main reason why some of heads of tjose financial institutions resign from their post. they would rather remain clean give up to the pressure from malacanang.

had they not passed the evat... same thing would have happened.prices still would go up. Why?the peso would depreciate like anything.probably hitting 60... driving up prices of basic commodities... since we basically import everything.. including RICE.

sad but true... we are really better of with the evat implementation.

You know why they imposed EVAT? So that we can borrow some more! IMF and World Bank will not lend us money unless the government has a way to pay.

I heard in the news this morning that as a result of the implementation of EVAT, the following fuel would increase by (per liter):
    Unleaded - more than P2.00
    Diesel - about P0.80.

damnit. they should implemented it a way back. kung kelan tumaas na lahat ng bilihin, saka iimplement ito. it's b.s.!
