    Ako... gusto ko that SC would stick with the TRO and declare the EVAT unconstitutional.. Im praying.. Kawawa ang mga tao kapag EVAT is implemented.

    ideally kasi, sa SC (or sa lahat ng courts) batas ang tinitignan.. makabuti man ito o makasama sa tao, basta may basehan at legal, yun ang mananaig... sa ganitong paraan minsan naiisip ko mas makabubuti pa yung sa executive and legislative.. elected kasi sila (mostly) kaya may pressure sa kanila to produce output in a way na mag bebenefit ang mga bumoto o ang nililigawan nilang boboto pa sa kanila... in short, politics.... so pwedeng magbago... depende sa gusto ng mga boboto... pero pag sa Supreme Court.. batas ang pinag uusapan eh... kapag nakaukit na ang batas... hindi na mababago unless baguhin ng executive / legislative uli... now.. may signs ba na babaguhin ng executive? i don't think so... even if magpalit ng bigla ang administation.. hindi rin basta basta mai re repeal yung batas since it will take some time pa... sa legislative naman.. well.. i really believed na sumunod lang sila sa priority ng executive... and with the aggressive lobbying by the DOF talagang walang nagawa ang congress... it's just that the senate ang pumapel eh.. labo...

    in my personal opinion kasi... dapat sana 12% VAT from 10%... pero exempt pa rin ang electricity and fuel and mga transport industry... or kung mag implement man sya ng VAT sa electricity, fuel and transport eh gawin nyang escalated.. like 1% first year, another 1% next year... until umabot ng max 5% or lower... anything higher than that eh talagang napakalaking effect sa tao.... ang gusto kasi ng executive eh instant... ni hindi naman nila plinano pano tatanggapin ito ng mga tao.... eh tapos ang makokolekta nila dito eh ipambabayad din lang sa utang para makautang uli... ewan ko ba..

    pati kasi pang-sweldo daw ngayon sa mga gov't. employees ay inuutang na rin gobyerno kaya kailangan talaga nila ng E-VAT.

    lifted ang tro sa EVAT.

    BUT. (sana) tanggal ang "pass-on" provision sa mga power utilities. Meaning may vat ang meralco, napocor, IPP pero di nila dapat singilin sa end-user.

    FYI ito yata ang version ng congress, until himalang tinaggal ni Recto pagdating sa Bicam. Namasyal pa yata si Recto sa europe pagkatapos maratify!

    Bayani si GMA sa madlang people! kakatayin naman sya ng mga Lopez, ramos gang na nag benefit ng malaki sa IPP.

    The TRO has been lifted. The Supreme Court (jesters) have ruled that the E-VAT law is constitutional as of this afternoon.
