    the question begs,
    "did eac bldg really lean, or did the two buildings both shake, resulting in that banging?
    if the space between the two buildings "shrunk", who did the leaning? just because a car's bumper got hit, does not mean that car is at fault.
    a few cm or inches in between two buildings' firewalls, is "common practice", if my observations are accurate.

    i await for the inspectors' professional opinion.
