In driving,is there such a thing called "Stepping on the line"?

My girlfriend was apprehended yesterday at ortigas intersection just beside Robinsons Galleria. The MMDA told here that her violation was 'Stepping on the line of the pedestrian lane". Sabi ko sa Girlfriend ko,"Ano yan Basketball?" If there is such a thing called "Stepping on the line" just let me know. Kung wala i know what to do hehe..

"Obstruction" might be the more correct term to use.

Enthusiastically enforced in Ortigas and Makati intersections. Atras ka na lang 'til di mo na nahaharangan ang pedestrian lane

ang alam ko mali yun or there really is such violation, not really pedestrian na me horizontal and vertical lines, basta yun yellow line lang pag umabot ka dun foul na, i mean its huli na especially if the police are hungry, pero minsan during nect to neck traffic di nasusunod yan hehehe

I'm not sure what the exact term for this violation is but I guess you can consider it obstruction of sorts.

At properly painted interscetions with pedestrian crossings, you will notice two lines before the prdestrian crossing.

The first line is the line where the front of your vehicle should be when stopped and the second line forms the boundary of the pedestrian crossing.

Usually, the crocs, er, cops / "enforcers" don't really apprehend you unless you cross the second line.

But if you go by the book and/or depending on the time of day or mind set of said crocs, they will catch you if cross the first line.

It's a zebra zone. You can cross it. But, you can't rest your ride on it. Hindi lang palaging pinapatupad sa atin iyan...

actually meron violation... yun nga lang mali ang pagkakasabi nya... dapat obstruction hindi stepping on the line... obstruction kasi nakakasagabal ang sasakyan sa flow ng pedestrians. dapat ang nose ng sasakyan ay hindi aabot dun sa horizontal line. its a very minor offence dapat pinapalagpas na lang ng authority ito lalo na kung congested ang area at hindi maiiwasan ang "stepping"

Etong mga ito bakit hindi hinuhuli? May mga traffic enforcers dyan na nagmamando ng traffic. Location: San Miguel Ave. corner the street where the Medical City was.

nahuli na rin sa ako dyan. traffic kaya hindi ko na pinilit mag-go kasi baka beating the red light naman ako or obstruction sa intersection. sabi ko dito ako sa ortigas nagtatrabaho kaya alam kong lagi silang nanghuhuli dun so bakit ko naman gagawin di ba. naiipit lang ako kaya di nako makaurong pinagbigyan naman ako pero napansin ko lang pag mga jeep ang nakaharang di nila hinuhuli...
