DRIVING IN MANILA

I'm not saying I blame the balikbayans. What I am saying is that if people who have been to "good" foreign lands can emulate and pass on what they've seen and experienced in their stay abroad, this would then set a good example to the rest of "bad" Filipino drivers. This, of course, depends on the common tao - whether he would heed it or not is another question.

The sad reality is, people are too preoccupied with the disorder and chaos here to even think twice about breaking their own principle or traffic laws. It's in the implementation and enforcement that causes people to abuse the system, because the system allows it.

Hence, if you follow the system (drive like you would abroad, obedient and all), people will abuse you just as they would abuse the system.
