[SIZE=2]The report said the ride stopped dead on its tracks shortly around 5:30 p.m. A number of high school students who were on a field trip were on the ride when it suddenly stopped on its tracks.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=2]ABS-CBN News correspondent Ron Gagalac said that rescuers have plucked several passengers from the ride and have brought them down to the ground. At least eight passengers were being rescued as of posting time.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=2]Officials clarified that the ride was not on an upside-down position when it stalled. They said that it was about to make a turn when it stalled.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=2]Security officers have cordoned the area. A crane has arrived to bring down the passengers from the ride.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=2]It was learned that the ride first stalled on its tracks on June 20, 2004 with 25 children onboard.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=2]The Enchanted Kingdom website described the ride as "an 11-story high Space Shuttle, named after the first manned spacecraft designed for reuse. The country's first and only triple loop coaster turns riders upside down six times - 3 times forward and 3 times backwards."[/SIZE]
