There are managers who say that non top schools are easier to manage. In my first job banned daw ang CRC grads kasi mahirap daw utusan, I still met a few, not sure if that was a joke.

rich kids are mayabang
they're used to ordering people (drivers, maids etc)
ma-pride mga rich kid
when you order them to do things na-o-offend sila
"who the f#ck are you"
rich kids can always quit
they can survive without work
rich kids will work for you and respect you only when you're richer than their parents
gusto nila they report to the owner of the company (or son of the owner)
kung manager ka lang mababa tingin sayo
My dad's hiring strategy is to get top school grads for front facing and creative staff and non-top for other things
Then shuffle them around he sees fit
School matters less after experience
Its only viable to hire "top school only" if your office is in Metro Manila

^that's true for my first job. We deal with HNW clients so our front liners are more or less the same level too. They're not just top schools but good looking and family background as well. But now hindi na rin, wala na rin strict standards on front liners.
I forgot the reason why I replied to this thread ulit was I read this article, it was on my feed kasi. I DISAGREE with this na.
a bit OT pero nasa mukha daw kung rich or poor, probably in the 20th century, but now looks can be bought na and for so much cheaper (hair, teeth, skin, breasts, even FACE - retoke sa nose, eyelids, lips, jaw line, cheeks etc)the study found that impressions of social class influenced the participants level of employability. It was already known from past studies that first impressions and class-related impressions affected someone’s potential to be hired. The results were as the researchers anticipated: the rich-looking test subjects had the employment advantage over the poor-looking ones.
I think in the 21st century esp the 2020s hindi na masyadong disadvantage ang looks, social status, education etc. Ang pangit lang even the walang kwentang tao are making money and making it normal to act like that (jologs influencers)The test group consisted of those with total family incomes of under $60,000 and those with incomes above $100,000, with a median income of $75,000 as a benchmark. The members of this group had their expressionless headshots taken, while another group was brought in to determine which ones they would segregate as “rich” or “poor” with only the photos to judge from. The second group, which consisted of 18- to 22-year-olds, were able to guess correctly enough for the researchers to say it wasn’t by just by chance.
One of the case results suggests that the "arduous experiences" of those from the lower class will impact their well-being and this reflects even in their neutral faces. But when researchers tried once more, this time presenting the smiling photos, the group had less chance of correctly guessing the lower class from the upper class.

Si stigg galit sa lahat ng mahirap. I don't hate the poor, I empathize with them.
What I hate are the influencers that are crass/stupid/no breeding, that are of course, influencing the gullible to do the same. It's as little as stupid pranks and as much as immoral lifestyle. Jologs can be rich as well.

hahaha! I experienced this first hand na. I matched with a guy kanina, kilig ako kasi super tisoy pero na shock ako when he said that he always wanted to date someone from my school, although I am aware that a lot of guys have a fetish for my school uniform. It's the first time I matched with someone who outright said na he likes girls from my school
Thank you Daddy and Mommy for sending me to XXX school, if it weren't for my being an XXX alumni, I wouldn't have met this Tisoy hahahah
Pero seriously, I think naman looks pa rin primary tinitignan ng guy kasi first thing he told me was he liked my (physical attribute). I'm just amused na he really verbalized na he likes girls from my school.

When i was in High School i was also enchanted by the college girls from this All girls school. Something about the uniform i guess.
during college i was lucky enough to have a gf from that school, the enchantment seem to fade once we broke up but well.........
Whatever the ranking is, do note that the top universities in the Philippines are basically at the same level as the second-tier universities in our more developed ASEAN neighbors like Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
So these rankings from our so-called top universities aren't really worth much in the grand scheme of things.
