The former is the most commonly used. To myself, there are better and simpler words such as "about" or "concerning".

Or just simply "regarding" is easier.

Sa mga foreigners naman di na nila pinapansin yan. Basta nagkakaintindihan oks na yan sa kanila.

Pero common mistakes? Madalas nakikita ko ito. Kahit sa TV. Yung paggamit ng word anniversary.

    Example.....

    10th year anniversary - Wrong!
    10th anniversary - Korek!

how about the phrase 'for a while' said on its own? sounds really weird to me.
our own version of 'just a minute/second/moment'.

another example is the redundant 'tuition fee'. although i don't think that's unique to Filipinos.

i remember some american colleagues telling me that our grammar is generally fine but they find our pronounciation of some words funny.

One perfect example, noong Senate impeachment hearing ni Erap.

    Si Apostol madalas banggitin....."Your wetness".
    Instead na.... "Your witness".

    Apostol is from the South.

Kung gusto nyo mali mali na english, just watch Wowowee

Dated several call center agents, but someone really stood out. Ang hilig nya magsalita ng kung ano ano para lang masabi na not the usual english ung sinasabi nya

"It's on the house" daw, she meant treat nya ko. I was like WTF?! On the house.... ROFL. Not stereotyping, pero madami nako nakita na mga call center agents na may pagka-social climber.

Ung iba naman, tagalog usapan english pa ng english. One good example is Pacman, local tv reporters lang nagiinterview puro english pa (minsan tagalog pa ung question). Dagdag nyo pa si Jericho Rosales...

dapat diba kapag tinanong ka ng english, sagot din dapat english pero pag tagalog na, tagalog din ang sagot.

may na meet din akong ganun, kahit tinagalog ko na, tuloy parin ang english nya. kakatuwa nga usapan namin, parehong magkaibang lengwahe pero nagkakaintindihan. haha

yun kay Erap, sadya yun para maka masa kuno.

he just capitalized before sa "eraption" jokes and carabao English. para malapit siya sa masa, but if you will watch closely pag interview siya kahit mga foreign media, kayang-kaya niya mag English.
