Do you buy fake branded items?

I don't.

If I want something pricey so bad, I would rather wait and save enough money
to afford the real thing. I have a very expensive taste and if you see me
carrying a designer dud, I can assure you that it's something that I worked hard
for. I don't feel guilty for splurging on them. I work my a$$ off and I think I deserve
to shower myself with nothing but the best.

Do you consider those POLO (Ralph Lauren) shirts in SM Malls "fake/imitation"? Kasi napansin ko, meron din sila nu'ng version nung shirt na may malaking logo na kabayo at no. 3 sa manggas (yung madalas suot ni Anjo/Joey sa EB). I once asked the saleslady, at sabi niya, sila raw ang local licensed POLO dealer/maker. Also, sabi niya, they used the same material as the orig., but at a cheaper price (P800 lang). While sa Rustan's daw, P5K plus daw yung orig.

I have one orig shirt like this, na nabili ko sa Singapore. Pero yung "SM version" parehong pareho nung sa orig.

truthfully, hindi na ako mahilig sa mga brand names, or fake brand items.
basta gusto ko ung isang bagay kahit anong klaseng brand binibili ko. kaibigan ni mrs, minsan binigyan sya ng pekeng rolex galing sa thailand, pagkatapos ng isang buwan ayaw ng umander. hindi ako masyadong picky.

I buy both....depende sa pag-gagamitan... yung mga items na once or twice ko lang gagamitin tapos ang mahal nung orig and 100x cheaper yung fake, then I will buy the fake ones, used it once or twice and throw or give them out to somebody......

no need to be a goodie-goody in here.....hehehe I am not that wealthy to splurge my money on everything thats original specially if I am going to use it in short period of time......I am just being practical in here.......

pero sa babae... I make sure na hindi fake ang makuha ko....kahit once or twice ko lang gagamitin.....HARHARHARAHRARHARHAR!!!

non critical items: clothing for home/pampasok use, some clothing for panlakad, seat covers, some home dvd and home furnishing....stickers and non essential abubots sa cars/home: holders and figurines...

is generic computer parts kasama?

the other things: N-O..A BIG NO.

critical car parts:drive train, timing belt, electrical devices and equipments, basta involves elecrical, mechanical performance....

so my answer is not on the poll..it can be yes..and a BIG NO...

aaminin ko syempre before bumibili ako kasi cheap.. newbie din kasi eh.. ngeeek!! pero laki ng difference sa quality .. so ngayun orig sana.. liban nlang sa mga auto replacement parts syempre bibili ako ng matibay kahtit japayoki ang brand..

I make a distinction between fake brands and legal 3rd-party alternatives. I don't deal with the former and I do indulge with the latter.

Software: All original commercial and/or legal open source.
DVD sets: All original
Car parts: OEM or legal 3rd-party altrnatives like FRAM parts.
Clothes/Watches/Shoes: I don't give a crap about expensive brand names. I wear a $3 lcd watch, cheap gym shorts and shirts 90% of the time because it's too hot to wear anything else, and a $20 pair of some no name tennis shoes...

The only items we have that may be considered "fake" are our furniture. 99% are custom built. I like my pc desk so, oh well.

Anyway, I'm shocked at how good the Chinese have become with counterfeit items. I was browsing Shopee and saw designer goods that were almost identical to the original. They even copied the box, dust bag and even tissue wrap! Kulang na lang receipt e It also costs thousands of pesos but a portion of the original price.

Since a lot of brands are now made in China, I wonder if these are ORIGINALS na naipuslit from the factory?

I think the West did a wrong move with outsourcing their production...

Which country is best at counterfeits? China lang naman mahilig mag fake. Based on my experience, the quality of Chinese counterfeits are getting better and better, I'd say almost close to original. Pati packaging nagaya na rin e
