from what i gather here in this looooong thread, people dont like it when the rich flaunt.

Why? THE FLAUNTER MAKES THE FLAUNTEE FEEL BAD.

Ok... so u cant change perception. the flauntee will always think negatively of the flaunter.

Well, u cant stop the flaunting either.

So its either u just ignore it or allow it to eat u up inside.

i dont think the rich are the ones guilty of flaunting, the "feeling rich" are more likely to do this. How can you conclude this, do you personally know very rich people? Mas likely pa na ang amo ang insecure sa itsura ng katulong kaya pinag uuniporme. Again, hindi ko nilalahat.

The FLAUNTEE is the one who feels he is being FLAUNTED at.

There's no flaunting taking place when no one feels flaunted at.

Ive been to parties where every pre-schooler has a uniformed yaya. Its standard. Its so standard that it seems weird if a kid doesnt have a yaya.

in gatherings like that, there's no flaunting taking place. everyone is on the same level.

But in a mall, uniformed yayas can attract attention coz not everyone in the mall is on the same level. there will be those who feel flaunted at. so those who feel flaunted at will feel that those with yaya are flaunting their status.

    Gets?

That's exactly why you have to be aware about your environment and try to blend with the environment. That's being sensitive. If you don't care about the perception of people around you no matter where you are, then that is being "insensitive". Tagalog: Manhid.

It's like a joke. Sometimes you have to choose the occasion and place when you crack a joke. Some people are "insensitive", they crack jokes even during funerals. Then they will say: "What's wrong with a joke?". So i think ganun din dito sa topic about having uniformed servants. You said it yourself, there are places where the "level" of people are different. So you should not feel annoyed if people have this "negative" perception.

By the way, Flaunting is the Opposite of Humility. Some people like to show-off, some people prefer to be humble and "lay-low".

in our case, hindi namin pinag uuniform yaya or maid. kahit pag lumalabas. hindi din namin pinapatawag na yaya...ate will do. hindi naman sila slave.

it doesn't matter for me kung naka uniform of hinde, as long as di nila minamaltrato ang maid...
