Why not use Lucio Tan as reference point to see how close ur getting to his status?

Or if Lucio Tan is not enough, use Bill Gates as reference point.

If u use maid as reference point, u will definitely pat urself on ur back and say "wow, ang layo na ng narating ko!"

dati my younger brother told my lola he wanted to work as a service crew in mcdo.

popcorn is not enough for this... I need lunch......

basta ako me saplot o wala...este....me uniform o wala, okay lang... i dont find it disconcerning na me nakikita akong naka-uniform na maid....and I dont even judge their amo for having them wear a maid's uniform....for me its not a big deal kasi....walang kaso para sa akin yan...

nasa sa tao yan, the way they think, perceive and interpret yung makakita sila ng maid na naka-uniporme....

hmmm........ ano ba masarap na lunch.....short shorts?? herherherherher

paulit ulit kasi sinasabi "the rich are flaunting"

Flaunting ba?

The rich have the right to live the kind of lifestyle they want.

Ano gusto mo gawin nila?

Haller!!! The rich will live their lives regardless of what the less-rich think. What the less-rich think has no bearing on them.

FYI, the rich only care about what other rich people think. Its a tight social circle where everyone knows everyone.

    Get over it.

The rich will get richer and they will flaunt their wealth even more.

geez... all that hate-the-rich talk is so typical of pinoys.

ONE WORD: TALANGKA.

No wonder the rich have to seclude themselves in their exclusive communities.

They have to insulate themselves from all the NEGATIVE VIBE.

Im not a big believer in that New Age stuff... but i think one reason why the poor cant get out of their poverty is coz of their mentality. All the NEGATIVE ENERGY in their minds and communities wreck havoc on their physical, mental and spiritual well-being.

You are just exaggerating this thread. You are making it appear like a battle between the rich and the poor.

Basically, the issue in this thread is - do you really need to show-off in public that you can afford to pay for slaves .... este, servants?

Nah, I don't think so. :bwahaha:

That "show-off in public that you can afford to pay for slaves...este servants" perception is not the perception of the rich. Only less-rich people perceive and interpret it that way.

If Mr. J.A.Zobel de Ayala sees uniformed maids in Ayala Center, would he go "yabang naman ng mga 'to"?

Im not exaggerating. This topic simply comes down to the SENTIMENT of the have-less towards the have-mores.

Shame on YOU! you better watch your words sir You should not be judgemental on your own issue... you better start your own thread related to what you have written and you are going nowhere....Wala akong pakialam sa iyo if you belong to that exclusive communities. You are exaggerating things here to prolong this thread and leaning out of the topic. Kung rich ka, go on with your life wag mo nang paki alaman yung ibang tao!

Sorry Mods...but i think this man is going too far!

Ano kaya masama doon?

Here is the post of the thread starter:

Do they really have to wear maid uniforms -- in public??? I find it discriminating. Para tuloy master and slave ang dating.
As the estimable sir niky said in another thread... do your research. It's not just about uniforms. Sir chicane asked a question.

Well, who's being judgmental now? What has this got to do with sir uls' nationality, patriotism, or finances?

You the man, sir uls. Though I must disagree with you on one thing... perhaps you should've said "... a large number of the poor..." political correctness being what it is these days. Long live reasonable discourse.

Mentality is the core of this issue.

The uniform is what is SEEN. That image is processed in the brain. It becomes the PERCEPTION. PERCEPTION BECOMES THE REALITY. Your interpretation of reality is what u have now---- your MENTALITY.

Lets face it, there is a lot of negative mentality in our society. Coz there are a lot of people with very negative view on the things they see.

there is a very popular sentiment that goes "baket sila ganun, baket tayo ganyan? Unfair! Dapat pantay pantay!"

We all know what kind of people have that kind of sentiment. And we know to whom that sentiment is directed against.

That sentiment is very dangerous considering the number of people who harbor it.

It poses a threat to the security and lifestyle of a certain class of people.

Im intentionally being vague here coz there are extra-sensitive people reading this.

But to those who gets it... well u get it.

I therefore conclude that this equation is acurate:

    sensitivity+insecurity = judgemental hypocrite

naku, tama na...enough with the name calling. like M54 always say, live and let live. sa opinion ko, walang tama o mali dito. both sides have legitimate arguments, and both sides would not give an inch, so let's respectfully leave it at that...

Do maids have to wear a uniform?
