April 3rd, 2011 12:40 AM #231Now if the recent executions won't make people think twice before embarking on a risky stunt then i don't know what will. Sinisi pa nga yung China dahil sa pagkamatay ni SOV. Well, they should realize that China is strict in enforcing its' laws and no amount of pakikiusap and pagmamakaawa would make the authorities go around the law and especially since the amount of drugs was too large for authorities to reduce the sentence. Di uubra iyan sa ibang bansa.
Lessons to be learned here are:
1) Don't trust anyone easily esp. if what they're offering is too good to be true.
2) Don't f**k around with the laws of the host country, hindi sila parang Pilipinas na madalas nadadaan sa pakiusap.

25 jailed OFWs freed
VICE President and Presidential Adviser on Overseas Filipino Workers’ Jejomar C. Binay yesterday announced that 25 OFWs currently jailed in Qatar have been granted amnesty.
The release of the 25 workers, who are in Qatari jails for various offenses, followed a series of bilateral discussions between the Vice President with top officials of the government of Qatar during his two-day visit to the country.
“We are grateful to the government of Qatar for extending amnesty to our kababayans. This underscores the strong ties between the two countries which will be even stronger in the coming years,” he said.
Binay instructed the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration and the Department of Foreign Affairs to expedite the repatriation of the workers.
“As soon as their plane tickets are available, they can come home,” Binay said.
The Vice President said the Qatar government has assured him that the Philippines will be one of their primary sources for manpower, with the expected construction boom in the country in 2012 in connection with Qatar’s preparations for hosting the 2020 World Cup.
