Yes. You are right. Balancing act din talaga. But im leaning more on overprovisioning. Im just starting to discover being a minimalist. Even weighing the actual gears just to get shave a few grams. I just invested in a deuter act lite bag since lightweight sya. Pang out of town/country din. But i will never compromise water. Di bale nang walang pamalit, basta may tubig at onteng trail snacks.

^ ako gamit ko lang deuter na 30 liter act backpack w/ provision for 2 liter hydration pack. dala na lang extra 2 liter softdrink bottles for water as needed depending sa climb. pero lately puro recreational climbs na lang naman ako so hindi na kelangan ng mga 50 liter backpacks unlike nuong college na palakihan kami ng backpack

i must admit though gumagamit na ako ng trekking poles since medyo may iniinda na ako sa knees ko. i guess years of playing sa concrete ng tennis ang culprit dito.

sakto din iyong 30 liter backpack kasi hindi na kelangan i-checkin sa mga eroplano para wala ng antay-antay sa carousel as much as possible

Masarap dalhin yung deuter act lite series. Magaan talaga tsaka dami support. Been to mt ulap in drenching rain and barely felt anything on my back. Yun nga lang, medyo malaki yung 40+10 sa JAL flight.

I really hate trekking poles though. Added energy consumption in swinging those damn sticks.

Patay ako. How long will it take? Our VP in HQ told me the trek to taal will be our next activity when he comes over to Manila. I told him only fit people can go there and he told me "I have no problem" Pano naman kaya ako?!?!
