Heard earlier that the Maute group has pulled out of the hospital. DZMM reported a doctor's account that one of the militants got medical attention there.

Meanwhile, militants are taking selfies and posting on FB in the streets.

The Maute grp is also claiming that marawi city is under the rule of isis na daw

^ residents were warned na makikipag bakbakan daw sila with the AFP. If this is just a diversionary tactic, i don't see the point in engaging in a siege...unless Isnilon Hapilon is somewhere in the city.

^ Read tweets about houses being set on fire; i'm not quite getting the logic on this one -- if they want a seige, they'll need lots of cover; you burn down your cover, you have nowhere to hide. Do they expect firemen to put out the fire? The entire city just might burn down.

Authorities advising Marawi residents not to post on social media so as not to compromise military operations. The irony is that since it may be the only source of intelligence they have inside the city.

Aparrently the Amai Pakpak hospital in Marawi is still being occupied by the Maute group

Listening to DZMM: panay ang iwas ng AFP spokesperson sa mga tanong regarding the goings-on in Marawi...sending additional troops daw, diversionary tactic, etc. etc. pero di makasagot ng diretso kung na take over nga ba yung ospital, etc.

Seems that their current intel is based on the reports last night, quite a few via social media. E kung wala palang nagpost e bulag-bingi sila ngayon.


imho, the residents should *not* post or share intel about the movements of government troops(still no in Marawi it seems), but *should* post about Maute group's movements. That may provide vital intel, unconventional as the sources may be.
