I think it depends on how you use the credit card. I have a few cards with annual fees that have travel perks and the reward points easily make up for the fees.

Sayang din yung rebates and perks ng credit card for all purchases.. around 300 to 400 pesos a month din yung total ng rebates ko on average (gas and other stuff). Ok yung citibank gold na shell since may free towing siya parang AAP free as long as active yung card.

Madali din magpa waive ng annual fee as long as wala kang utang so sabihin mo lang na ayaw mo mag bayad ng annual fee and i cacancel mo na lang yung card. As long as bayaran mo in full yung statement mo and control spending.

I wonder how much is the Philippine's credit card debt right now and how many delinquent and overdue accounts are out there.

agree it's pointless to finance something that depreciates once you pay. talo na sa interest, talo pa sa purchase price.

I loaned a car from a bank. Only use it for driving my family, when we have "lakad", when I have errands to make, or when I just feel lazy commuting. Hindi naman hassle ang travel ko papuntang office e, 1pm pasok ko, 5pm uwi na. naisip ko din, sayang Gas at Parking, 4 hours lang naman ako sa office, parang di sulit ang pagdadala ng auto.

It added comfort to our family, may savings pa din kami every payday despite the MA of the car. No regrets.

And yes, I have Credit Cards, pero when the bills are due, I always pay the whole monthly due (not the minimum amount due).

Oks naman yan because the car is a tool for you and you can very well afford it. Yung hindi okay is yung magpumilit magka-car tapos hindi kaya i-support ang payments and maintenance, and it affects your day-to-day living standards.

So you deposit your earnings in a joint account? Wala kayo secret account? hehehe. I sometimes imagine how does finances come up with couples that are gonna get married. This is something that I could never ask family or friends that are married. hehe.

My friend is a housewife and she mentioned to me that she does not even know how much her husband earns basta he gives her money and all her expenses are taken cared of. I find it kinda off. But then again if she stays at home lang and everything is paid for by the husband, who can complain.

Yup, no secret stash for us. We just maintain a small balance in our own ATM accounts for day-to-day expenses. It's a good balance: she earns the money, I manage the cash flow.
