If the other shop sells the product to the other shop at a 'reseller' price, the customer still ends up getting the product at fair market value.
Ganun yung chemical company ng friend ko. They have retail price and they have reseller price sa mga kakilala nilang ibang chemical companies na kinakapos ng certain chemical na iyon [e.g. bulk orders with short lead times]. The client won't really know about it because wala naman price adjustment from the set price.
The best thing to do is still shop around. I was looking for a silicone iPod case this afternoon. Prices ranged from Php150-500 for the same basic case (even the packaging was the same). Just had to do a little legwork.

If you're still getting the product at the agreed-upon price, hindi ka lugi... it's the shop that sells to you that absorbs the extra cost.
Look at it this way:
You're buying a 500 peso part. Yung tubo nila is 50 pesos on a 450 peso part. They don't have it. They call another shop. Buy it at "reseller" price, say: 460. Then they have to pay commuting for a boy to go get it (maybe 20-30 pesos). Tubo lang nila 10 pesos. Sometimes... wala.
What do you spend extra? Just another ten minutes worth of wait? Sounds fair to me.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Maxbuwaya, siguro sa sauna bath ka nag iinquire dati kaya ka naasar inaalok sa iyo ang galing sa kabila hehe.
Seriously, i think the other shop will give it to them at a dealer's price and they sell it to you at their srp.
