    baliktad yata?

air brakes are spring loaded. air pressure is supplied to release, and inversely air pressure is released (the hiss sound when the brakes are applied) to apply the brakes. fail safe kasi ang design nyan. loss of air pressure will not lead to loss of brakes as the brakes are spring loaded. loss of air will lead to inability to release the brakes. well, at least that is how it works on the systems that i worked on.

Something is off with this news. I suspect that, probably, one or some of the kids toyed with the controls of the bus.

IMHO, this was negligence on part of the driver. Or maybe the bus was not maintained properly. Sad.
Ano pa bang aasahan sa mga segunda mano at converted na sasakyan

Yan Ang sabi, hinde naman paatras eh, paabante...driver said some students wen inside the bus kaya binuksan niya para hinde mainitan mga bata..then he went down to put some water sa radiator Ewan ko lang kung radiator ng engine or ng A/C...

Then yun mga na sagasaan nagkukuhanan ng mga pictures sa cellphone nila kaya hinde nila napansin...

I say it's still an unfortunate accident...hinde naman lasting yun driver kaya na accident eh...

It's very easy Kung bumigay Ang preno, makikita naman Kung check nila yun bus eh,

This was in camp capinpin tanay, right? The day before another school went on a field trip in the same place. But they hired one of our ambulances as a support vehicle.

We not only treat injuries or illnesses but our medics go around to ensure the safety of our clients.

Now that is a good move indeed and i think schools should make that mandatory during field trips. As a parent i would really encourage that schools have an ambulance and trained medic/safety officer on-hand during field trips.

Have seen this on the news before, all I can say is that they should have thoroughly checked the bus for any problems beforehand. As for driver, he should have been more cautious.

I don't think field trips should be done away with. Kids need more exposure to the world outside the school campus. With that said, wag naman din madalas. Teachers should come up with something worthwhile and safe. Wag naman yung pakalat-kalat sa mall, unless that was lunch break.

    +1

Schools, however, should be made more accountable or liable for death or injury suffered by students during those activities.

Sabi daw meron mga dapat na matutunan outside school. Thus, kailangan mag field trip.

Oo nga. Huwag naman ipagbawal ang field trip. Isa yan sa highlights ng SY. Pangit naman kung parati sa classroom anak mo, di makakabond kasama kaklase. Hehe.

Pero dapat talaga thorough inspection of the vehicle to be used, plus, kailangan may ambulansya parati in case...

pero sa ratio pa lang ng teacher to student kakabahan ka na sa safety ng anak mo, how can 2 to 3 teacher take charge of a bus full of naughty rowdy students.

Bus run over students during field trip.
