air brakes are spring loaded. air pressure is supplied to release, and inversely air pressure is released (the hiss sound when the brakes are applied) to apply the brakes. fail safe kasi ang design nyan. loss of air pressure will not lead to loss of brakes as the brakes are spring loaded. loss of air will lead to inability to release the brakes. well, at least that is how it works on the systems that i worked on.

Something is off with this news. I suspect that, probably, one or some of the kids toyed with the controls of the bus.

Yan Ang sabi, hinde naman paatras eh, paabante...driver said some students wen inside the bus kaya binuksan niya para hinde mainitan mga bata..then he went down to put some water sa radiator Ewan ko lang kung radiator ng engine or ng A/C...
Then yun mga na sagasaan nagkukuhanan ng mga pictures sa cellphone nila kaya hinde nila napansin...
I say it's still an unfortunate accident...hinde naman lasting yun driver kaya na accident eh...

This was in camp capinpin tanay, right? The day before another school went on a field trip in the same place. But they hired one of our ambulances as a support vehicle.
