MANILA, Philippines – An explosion rocked a building along Wilson Street in San Juan past midnight on Saturday, August 17, injuring at least 7 people and damaging nearby buildings and vehicles.
Witnesses told Rappler the explosion occurred around 1 am on Saturday. Debris from the explosion hit nearby establishments.
Police reported no deaths but several injuries as of posting time. A taxi driver was among at least 7 injured.
Rescuers brought 3 victims to Cardinal Santos Medical Center and 4 to San Juan Medical Center.
Investigators have yet to determine the cause of the explosion, but a fireman with the investigators said the explosion occurred in a seafood restaurant beside a massage salon. – Rappler.com
