Hello.
Maliban sa Shangri-La, saan pa kaya ok tumingin ng Brunswick and Olhausen tables? And also, maliban sa 2 ito, ano pa kayang ok na billiard table? Baka kasi masyadong mabutas wallet namin, mabuti ng may plan B. Hehe.
Thank you.![]()

try mo kay Linds.. he makes custom made cues and billiard tables.. i think my shop sya sa cubao.. sya nag su supply sa pier one and gameworkx
you can email him at info*lindscues.com.ph
contact STAR PAPER CORPORATION, dealer sila ng BRUNSWICK table and PREDATOR CUES, AFAIK mahal sa shangri-la, plan B would be Puyat , dizon and Rommels, I wont suggest korean made tables kc sa una lang sila magandang tingnan , puro laminated sheets lang yun finishing and I think soft wood lang mga braces niya

iba naman problema ko..
Where could i have my billiard table's "mantel" redone? binutas kasi ng mga baby kong pinsan..
Star Paper is your best bet for Brunswick tables. Right now they have a promo for the Metro Tables. plenty of other choices too, there's the GC IV and GC III. They're also the distributor of Predator cues here. Wag na sa BIPS Shang...mahal dun.
If budget is still a concern, go to Linds. He is a very good friend of mine. He makes and does repair work for tables and custom cues. For the budget of a Brunswick table, you can already have a good table from Linds and a good playing custom cue.
Hehe, masyadong madugo Brunswick. 200k to 350k kapag brand new, 65k to 220k kapag pre-owned. Sa Linds naman, 45k to 75k. Alam niyo saan ang Rommel at Dizon? Hindi kasi listed sa 187. Sa AMF-Puyat naman walang sumasagot.
Btw, any tips nga pala sa pagpili?
Thanks.![]()
in my own opinion lang, there nothing special sa gawa ng rommel's, pero yun price niya specialfor bnew I think 45K up, sa dizon no idea
sa pag pili,
1) frame should be solid wood, mas maganda if kiln dried cya, pag varnish ang finish dapat polyurethane finish
2) ball should be ORIGINAL "ARAMITH BRAND" not taiwan ball, mas maganda pa if Dotted pa yun cue ball nya
3)sa table cloth naman, madami kasi klase, yun ginagamit sa international tournament is SIMONIS 860 (price for that cloth alone is 10K, hindi pa cya reversible), pag ord.cloth just check if makapal cya o manipis, you can use FLASHLIGHT to check if makapal cya o manipis
4) for rubber bumper (banda) , MASTER SUPER SPEED brand lang na try ko, ok naman cya
5) for the triangle, it should be made of wood NOT PLASTIC, plastic wont last
6) marble top should at least 3/4 thick
Swimstroke...tama yung mga sinabi ni Fortuner13.
Some other tips lang:
1. Master Super Speed cushions ang dapat na gamit. They're the most lively i've tried. K-66 profile dapat.
2. Simonis 860 is the cloth used in major international tournaments. Very madulas kaya you will have to adjust your cueball control for this. May madulas pa diyan...yung Simonis 760...mababaliw ka sa bilis. There are other cloth choices:
* YTT - Japan brand, recently tried this at one of the new pool bars in greenhills....very nice and just a tad slower than Simonis 860 kaya ok lang. I think their signature cloth color is blue and not green.
* Mali cloth - other kind of cloth used puyat tables, slightly thicker and slower. Eto yung solid green color cloth
* Others - di ko na alam yung iba kasi madami na. Taiwan even has fake simonis. Madulas pero di kasing dulas ng orig and madali siyang mapunit.
3. My cuemaker recommends the use of Italian slate for Orig Simonis cloth and not marble. Marble slates daw are not absolutely smooth so putting thin cloth like Simonis might affect the roll of the balls. For marble slates he recommends thick cloth.
4. Orig Aramith Balls can also be bought from Starpaper. If you have the budget, get the Aramith Pro-Cup TV Balls. It includes the Dotted cue ball, pink 4 & brown 7. Kung under budget constraint, you can just buy the dotted cue ball. When I bought the dotted cue ball eh P600 lang siya and orig pa! Just make sure that the other balls are orig aramith para pareho yung sizes at bigat.
very very informative! am also in the market for this because I'm planning to set-up our game room in the very near future...![]()
For the pool table hunters out there, here is a list of pool halls where you can try out the different tables.
Brunswick
Starpaper (Grace Village, QC) - best pool hall in the Philippines, wherelse can you find 10 Metro tables, 5 Gold Crown IVs and 5 Gold Crown IIIs all using Aramith TV Balls. And the best part about it.......it's all FREE!!! With free drinks too. Yun nga lang by invitation siya so not all can play.
OneSide (Malate) - 6 Metro tables with lots of pool action. Dito naglalaro mga tirador.
Rack n' Roll (Malate) - May Metro din and near OneSide
SidePocket (Quezon Ave.) - 2 Metro Tables and madami din tirador.
AMF/Puyat
Efrens Magic - AMF tables with Simonis cloth. Frequented by Vic Sotto
Makati Cinema Square
Coastal Mall
Alabang Town Center
Robinson's Galleria
Eastwood Bowl
Linds Tables
G-Cue Greenhills - New joint near the COD-like display, uses YTT cloth, Italian slates and TV Balls...maganda tables niya. Try the place out
Pier One (all branches)
Ferrule (Libis)
IMO, brunswick are really good tables, but i would'nt buy one. i would prefer puyat or rommel slow nap tables. mas matetrain ka sa mga ganitong conditions. kaya pag nag brunswick ka or equal...mas madalai na para syo.
Hello yuichi. That's a very good point but this is my opinion lang. Unless you have nerves of steel gained through numerous tournaments, money matches, or exposure to various pool halls (this includes the alley joints) adjusting your shot depending on the table conditions or even the kind of table itself will be a nightmare. I've seen tiradors do monster racks in slow, musty, dead rail tables but wallow upon transferring to Simonis cloth and lively rails. I think the best way is to try the different tables to highten your exposure on different table conditions and solid practice of cueball control, pocketing & position play...but that's just me![]()
yun MALI CLOTH ba ng puyat tables may tatak ba mismo sa cloth na 'MALI", like simonis and YTT? kc I have bought some mali cloth in binondo, sabi niya" mali" daw pero duda ako kc walang tatak sa cloth mismo, yun plastic packaging lang niya may sticker na "mali", although ok naman siya, makapal
Zion Billiard Hall and Bar - beside Las Pinas City Hall....
:starwars:
As far as I know walang nakatatak na MALI yung Puyat Tables but they are orig MALI. Will get back to you kung yung cloth eh may tatak talaga. If sa ROPA Binondo ka bumili then most probably ok naman siya. They don't have Simonis though...meron sila nung Taiwan version. For Orig Simonis you can go to Star Paper. It's actually a one stop shop for the following:
Brunswick Products:
Cues
Tables & Accessories
Chalk
Balls & Cleaners
Other Peripherals
Simonis Cloth
Predator Cues & Accessories
Enjoy....by the way, any of you guys care to play pool!
Not really promoting Star Paper but I would just like to show you what the best pool hall in the Philippines looks like. I you really love pool, then this should be pool heaven![]()
I took these pics during the qualifying rounds of the WPC held in Manila last November.
Here is Mad Max Eberle racking...sayang di siya nakapasok sa qualifiers.
This is the Gold Crown IV table...very nice
And this is me taking a shot with one of the Metro tables...notice it's blue (cute). Pardon for the nguso ha hehehe

well yes....but IMO its easier to adjust from slow nap tables with tighter pockets to brunswick fast tables. although biggest adjustments would be cue ball control .
i use to play in an old custom-made table that we have at home with standard pocket size, slow nap clothe and dead rails. so everytime i play in poolhalls with fast nap tables and relativley same pockets..its just like playing "jolens" to me.![]()
magkakano nga ba mga mesa ngayon?
1.brunswick
2.amf
3.olhausen
4 etc....
