imo there wasn't much excitement during the jermaine taylor vs. winky wright fight. i don't think hopkins can fare better than taylor in this aspect unless winky drops his defense and decides to slug it out.

That would be an exciting fight provided hindi pera-pera at mag mukhang sparring.
Winky Wright ako. Pero kung mga 5 years ago – kay Hopkins ako.
..tipo bang one can get up and prepare microwave popcorn and still won't miss anything when he comes back??![]()
happened to me last sunday while i was going to watch kermit contron vs walter mathysse. went down to boil something and when i went back to the TV, they are showing the next fight. the supporting bout was over in less than 2 rds.
this will not happen to hopkins or wright unless wright decides to show his chin to hopkins.

By Albert Jimenez Howell and Matt Richardson at ringside
In a battle of former world champions, Bernard Hopkins (48-4-1, 32 KOs) won a unanimous decision over Winky Wright (51-4-1, 25 KOs) in a light heavyweight clash on Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. Wright was cut over the left eye in round two by an unintentional headbutt. Wright was the aggressor with Hopkins trying to give angles. There was lots of holding and wrestling at close quarters. Hopkins' best weapon was a short right hand. Wright was busier, but the rounds were close and tedious. Hopkins seemed stronger at the end to pull away. Scores were 116-112, 117-111, 117-111.
