Caught up last night over dinner and drinks with one of our friends who we haven't seen for over half a decade.

I found it very interesting that when my friends and I updated him about our lives, the conversation naturally flowrd towards the relationships and life plans that we have. None of the toxicity of social media where it's always about buying new stuff, touring new places, work updates. It reminded me that at the end of it all, relationships are still the most important thing in one's life.

I used DOSBOX after a long time and fired up Sid Meier's Pirates and an old 4x game, Masters of Orion. Fun times. a nice couple of hours of pure gaming nostalgia from the 90s.....

Laughter, support, memories, fun times, crazy times, somber times......i have been lucky with my old college barkada who has made it a point to stick together thru all these years. We will celebrate Dec 14 somewhere.....a tradition we have kept ever since we went our sepsrate ways.

Nowadays we just talk about our children, politics, traffic, basketball and the nuances between scotches hehe.

btw acquaintance ba ang tamang term? compared to my HS and college barkada, kababata / kapitbahay though laging busy eh alam kong andyan.
yun grupo lang namin ni L1quid of tsikot ang kinonsider ko na talagang naging barkada ko sa office (kahit di ako sinundo nun last get together [emoji34][emoji34]) pero nag offer naman na sagutin yun grab [emoji28][emoji28]
not that im complaining pero napansin ni gf mga nagiging office friends ko ay puro kabig [emoji28]

My mom still goes out with her high school friends. They are one happy bunch. They're lucky they live somewhat near each other.
