Ewan ko basta sabi private IP daw sila or something. I can't access my cameras using data. Dapat same network (wifi) so it defeated the purpose of having CCTV cameras.

Naka CGNAT yung residential plans ng Converge. Kay PLDT, hindi (pa).

Ibig sabihin, you don't have a unique public IP accessible to the world when you are using converge residential plans, whereas sa PLDT, you are assigned a unique public IP.

You need a business plan kay converge to get a public IP.

so, what does this mean? isang device lang pwedeng magkaron ng internet sa bahay mo? because the way i see it all of your devices will be given an ip coming from the router right?

That's local ip. Iba pa yung public or private ip. If you look at the properties of your network on your device you'll see something like 192.168.x.x, that's your local device ip. But when you google "what's my ip" you'll see the public ip assigned to you, different from the local ip.

If you do the "whets my ip" search to all your device at home, you'll see their public ip are the same, pero iba iba local ip nila.

They are practically the same. Converge was just the first one to bring fiber delivery to the masses. (I know pldt was the real first one to delvier fiber but they are on a targetted approach, mostly highend subs).

They will deliver a sevice, and your home devices network will use private. The isp gateway that will be shown on whatsmyip resides on the isp provider edge device.

No. You are still free to use your own router. Something like this

No CGNAT (PLDT as of now):
Internet --> Your Public IP the world sees is assigned to your router --> Your devices
If you want ports open, you can, kasi you control the only router in the setup.

    Under CGNAT (CONVERGE residential plans):
Internet --> Your Public IP the world sees is assigned to CONVERGE's "router" --> Your Private IP assigned to your router (NOT ACCESSIBLE FROM THE OUTSIDE WORLD) --> your devices
You CANNOT have ports open. Your public IP is shared amongst converge's customer base.
Think of it as a router in front of your router, and you have no access to the first router, hence no port forwarding of any type.

You can still access the CCTV IF may server yung CCTV provider that your home setup can connect to, parang teamviewer.

Pero if didiretso ka via IP address / static IP or dynamic IP, will NOT work.

Walang workaround unless may kilala ka sa loob ng converge engineering team that will make an exception for you. or if you sign up for a business plan.

For CCTV, you really must insist on having a PUBLIC & unique IP address

meon ako isa suggest. maglagay ka na lang mga dummy dome camera as well as all weather sa labas , tapos sin s insure naman bahah mo. then just accept reality . dont leave expensive things at home or get 2 vault. foe your guns and jewelry and stacks of cash

. ang hirap magin overwatch, it develops somethinvin you, some negative ,

Mas maganda pa tong AX5400 Wi-Fi 6 Router Archer AX73 | AX54 Dual-Band Gigabit Wi-Fi 6 Router | TP-Link. Buong bahay niyo makakagamit. At kahit maraming devices and connected sa network, mabilis parin ung loading speed.

WiFi N/5 pa lang po ang most devices ngayon, kahit WiFi 6 may deadspot pa rin kaya mas adviseable magkabit ng access points for every floor of the house.

    errr,
ilang beses na po kayo naging taytay?

    as an aside,
some folks ask, "how do you divide your love among your many children?"
the wise parent answered, "with many children, love is not divided; love is multiplied!"
